My favorite season, which is autumn, is a great time for taking walks in my neighborhood.
One fall morning, I decided to take a walk so I opened the door of my house and walked outside. Upon stepping outside, I notice amber, ruby, orange, and ginger leaves falling off the thick, bare, swaying branches of a nearby tree.
As colorful leaves crunch under my feet, cinnamon brown squirrels scurry around on the branches of giant maple trees. When I look closer at the trunk of the tree, I notice the aging bark slowly peeling off and revealing insects living in it.
As I’m looking at the tree, it starts to rain. Even though I have a raincoat on, I can still feel the damp chilliness in the air. Panicking madly, the squirrels run around on the tree as they try not to get wet.
As I quietly continue my walk, fat golden-brown pumpkins which are sitting on porches, smile smugly. Some of them are wet and some are dry. Because the overcast sky is charcoal gray, everything looks gloomy. It gets even colder because a chilly wind blows by. Cheerful and merry, I return to my house.
