A Boy’s Dream

He lies in bed awake,
Having trouble sleeping.
A relaxing, pleasant dream is
What a boy needs,
To fall quietly asleep.
He slowly closed his big, frightened, eyes,
Too tired and weary to stay awake.
Tossing and turning in a panicked state,
Muttering quickly in his sleep,
A restless slumber
With terrifying, horrible dreams.
He quickly wakes up once again,
His eyes wide in the still, silent night.
A small music box starts playing
A soft, relaxing tune for him.
He starts to fall back into slumber,
The music calmed and helped him.
A quiet and peaceful dream awaits,
He is in a relaxed state
Dreaming about many wonderful things
That he wonders about the next morning
