Annabelle Wang

Hello, it’s nice to meet you.

I am a multi-talented frog 🐸！ケロ. I should warn you that I am not the regular frog that you see in ponds. I live in a small village built atop a bog. In all seriousness, I’m a 6th grader from sunny California.

I have different hobbies. I enjoy reading, writing, drawing, a bit of cooking, and watching anime. I play piano and I love music.

I can assure you that kids can enjoy classic literature and be cool at the same time. I read for fun as well. My current favorites are Matilda, Jemima Small, Being Ms. Nobody, and the Odd 1s Out series. I started my own book review podcast last year. Please make sure to check it out.

Hayao Miyazaki is my anime hero. I am passionate about anything Studio Ghibli. Anime is a great art form for storytelling. It is the main reason I have been learning Japanese for three years now.

I play on a volleyball team, and we had lots of fun during practice. However, the tournament schedule can be grueling. Team sport has taught me a lot about how to interact and cooperate with other peers. I was first introduced to swimming when I was six months old, and I am a decent swimmer.

Like other kids my age, I love to play video games, but I am just a casual gamer. Having practical experience with game controllers has its advantage—it helps a lot during our robotics competitions.

I enjoy travel and I have been fortunate enough to have visited quite a few interesting places around the world. It makes me realize that we live in an intertwined world.

All my families are very supportive. They encourage me to explore my interests and do my best. For that I am very grateful ケロ!
